Blistering hot days accented by partly cloudy skies and obscene amounts of ice cream. I was finally able to escape and go for a walk down by the water with my sister- the part of the Lake we love the most has very, very few visitors. This grants us the ability to kick off our shoes and perch on the edge of the crumbling road to dip our feet in and shoot the breeze. I’m not sure if there’s much else I prefer to do on a Saturday afternoon.
I’ve been reading up a storm- finishing off some books from my favorite cozy mystery series (The Jasmine Moon Murder, Chamomile Mourning, and Blood Orange Brewing by Laura Childs) and chipping away at Voyager by Diana Gabaldon. All I want to do is lay in the air conditioning and read. I want to read everything, all at once. When I put my mind to it, I’ve been reading a book a day, like I was when I was a teen. I’ve been pinching pennies so I can order the next book in the Circle of Ceridwen series by Octavia Randolph. Thankfully, my Library is operational, some days it feels like my only real connection to anything outside of work.
Being better at blogging is rather difficult. I’m not quite certain what to say, yet. Right now I’m consumed by work and reading. There’s not much else that I want right now. It’s dreadfully hot in my house, but I’m still hoping to put my little craft/office space together better. I hope to be able to share that with you next week!
Until we meet again~
